Find the right thread size for your speakers
The GAIA’s and GAIA-TITAN isolators come with thread adaptors for the 3 most common thread sizes which fit the majority of speakers. A wide variety of alternative thread sizes are available upon request through IsoAcoustics distributors if needed.
How to determine a speaker's thread size
Remove an existing spike/foot from your speaker. Using a ruler or tape measure, submit the following photos to threads@isoacoustics.com for review. The tape measure can be in Metric or Imperial. Please include your name and the make & model of your speaker or component in your email.
1. Thread Diameter
Position the ruler (metric/imperial) so that it is raised to the mid-way height of the thread (the widest section). Take photo from above with good lighting and threads in focus.
2. Thread Diameter
Position the ruler at the end of the thread, and so that it is raised to the mid-way height of the thread (the widest section). If the ruler cannot be positioned at the end of the thread, submit photos of the ruler positioned behind the thread and in front of the thread.

How to order alternate size thread adaptors
The GAIA isolators come with the 3 most common thread sizes. If you require a different size, they can be ordered through the dealer that is selling the GAIA’s, or through our distributor. Click Here for the contact information for our distributor for your country.
How IsoAcoustics thread adaptors work
- The upper lock nut is tightened up against the bottom of the speaker.
- The lower lock nut tightens up against the top of the GAIA housing.
The GAIA thread adaptors have 2 sides:
- Side 1 is installed into the base of the speaker. The thread size of Side 1 matches the speaker thread size.
- Side 2 is installed into the GAIA housing. The thread size for Side 2 matches the thread size of the GAIA housing.
Understanding Thread Size: Diameter and Pitch
Thread sizes can be Imperial or Metric.
Thread sizes are listed with their Major Diameter followed by their pitch (Example: M8-1.25 or ¼”-20)
- The Major Diameter of the thread is 8mm
- The distance between threads (pitch) is 1.25mm
- The Major Diameter of the thread is ¼”
- The number of threads per inch is 20
