The CTOS is a fiber-optic light guide featuring a Toslink connector.

On the one hand, the SPDIF standard and word clock require a characteristic impedance of 75 ohms and AES/EBU 110 ohms, on the other hand, optical fiber cables should have the lowest possible attenuation values. If, as is the case with Cordial's CTOS, all these benchmarks are met, digital audio transmission via cable will be absolutely interference-free.  

As you obviously don't want to take any risks in the studio, this precisely attuned cable definitely belongs in any studio technician’s toolbox.
