In 2013, KMA Machines’ first ever production pedal was inspired by an old, obscure and highly underrated fuzz box from the 1970s – the Jordan Bosstone. The original Bosstone wasn’t even a pedal, it was a device you plugged directly into your guitar, which brought a host of problems. Hence, we greatly refined the circuit for the original FUZZLY BEAR, to get the essence of that old-school sound, but giving it some modern twists by sorting out the low end and adding a Bias control, to help players explore lots of new tonal capabilities of this long-forgotten box of dirty tricks.

The Halcyon Gold Overdrive is an adaptive overdrive pedal featuring our proprietary Adaptive Circuitry. This unique design allows it to adapt its voicing in response to pick attack and volume changes, making it one of the most dynamic and interactive overdrives out there. While it is inspired by a certain rare and sought-after pedal, this is by no means a clone. We have gone to great lengths to recreate the exact characteristics of unobtainable vintage diodes and also built in some innovative features that go beyond the capabilities of the original.
We based this pedal on the Klon® Centaur® because it’s an all-time classic. Its clarity, dynamics and unique clean blend make it an excellent choice for players who like their overdrive pedals to have a more natural quality, capable of pushing the front end of any great amp. The all-too-frequently used term “transparent overdrive” really started with the Centaur® – and it thoroughly deserves that reputation.
The Halcyon Gold Overdrive picks up where the Klon® leaves off, adding even more playability to this players’ favourite. The signature mid-hump now responds to playing dynamics and volume knob changes, and we’ve included our own smoother, more neutral voicing too. The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Haunt is a gated fuzz that is capable of a wide array of fuzz sounds. From the restrained and nuanced light fuzziness to granular and biting saw sounds, many textures and character traits can be summoned with the Volume, Gate, Fuzz, Mix and Tone knob controls. The Haunt also has two toggle switches; Range and Low. Range sets the range of the Fuzz knob, with lower gain to the left and higher gain to the right. To the left, the Low toggle attenuates the low end, to the right it lets full low end in. You’ll notice a volume boost to the right as a result of the new frequencies being let in, and a new interaction with the Gate, Fuzz, and overall sound of the Haunt.

Launched in 1976, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was not only the world’s first chorus effect pedal, but also the very first BOSS pedal. Three years later, this inventive new sound was squeezed into the blue CE-2 Chorus, and chorus pedals have remained in the compact lineup ever since. Four decades on, the spacious modulated tone of the signature BOSS effect is still loved by musicians everywhere. In 2016, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of BOSS innovation, the original analog chorus sounds are now reborn with the Waza Craft CE-2W. The CE-2W’s Standard mode faithfully recreates the classic CE-2 chorus sound, and adds an expansive new sound field with stereo output, which was unavailable in the mono CE-2. CE-1 mode fully reproduces the stereo chorus and vibrato sounds of the legendary CE-1, with the addition of variable chorus depth not available in the original pedal. To commemorate the birth of BOSS effects, the CE-2W is made exclusively in Japan, just as the original CE-1 and CE-2 were.
